GriefShare stresses the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation to personal healing from grief. GriefShare ministry will begin another series of sessions beginning February 1st at McQueeney Baptist Church. The purpose of GriefShare is to support and encourage one another. This process helps to develop healthy grieving. Each person grieves in their own unique way. GriefShare is divided into three core parts: large group discussion, video, and small group discussion.
Some people share concerns easily and need to talk in order to process their thoughts and feelings. Others are quiet and more cautious. Each group facilitator helps the group to learn more about their thoughts and feelings. It is important that participants know their feelings and are aware of the grieving process.
GriefShare is a non-denominational recovery/support group. Each session helps individuals work through their grief and gain comfort and encouragement during the grieving process. The pain will not immediately go away, but the pain will turn from mourning to joy and begin to live their life in a manageable way. The memory of a loved will never go away, but through GriefShare the pain will lessen.
"People without a faith face a bleak mourning process. Without the encouragement that comes from the assurance of eternal life, the issues that accompany grief are amplified." shared by Steve Grissom, co-founder of GriefShare.
There is a small fee ($15.00) to cover the resource book and materials. If there should be any questions, please call 830-557-5532 for more information.
